Farris Enterprises disposable UV modules destroy germs,
bacteria, viruses, and microorganisms by interfering with their molecular structure.
The DNA and RNA in the organisms’ reproductive cycle are damaged and the cells are
rendered sterile.
FEATURES:
- UV BALLAST: The UV Series modules utilize a custom
designed ballast to properly regulate the voltage required to power the ultraviolet
lamps. Two styles of ballast are available:
- Mechanical style for 120 v, 60 Hz only. (For USA
use only.)
- Electronic style for 85 to 285 v, 50 or 60 Hz. (For
use in all International applications.)
- UV LIGHT: The contact disinfectant property of UV
light energy is measured in microwatt-seconds per square centimeter (μw-sec/cm2).
The 254 nanometer UV Series lamp produces 32,000 to 35,000 μw-sec/cm2.
- Ballast comes standard with North American outlet
pin configuration.
- Additional adapters are available upon request.
Tested at Truesdail Laboratories, an EPA approved independent
testing laboratory, according to standards set by the U.S. Department of Health
for ultraviolet sterilization and NSF Standard.

Built in flow restricter is designed to flow at the
correct pressure of 60 psi. |
Specifications:
- MIN./ MAX TEMPERATURE: 40°F / 100°F (5°C / 38°C)
- MIN./ MAX. PRESSURE: 20 psi / 125 psi (1.4 bar / 8.6
bar)
General Installation and Maintenance:
Each module comes with a hermetically sealed UV lamp mounted
in a clear hardened quartz tube. The lamp mounts inside an injection molded,
UV resistant polypropylene housings. The module’s plug connects to the ballast
(electrical ballast), which is then connected to household current. A soft
blue glow emanating from the end of the module shows you the UV is working.
Note: UV Series modules are not designed for use stand-alone
products. They are specifically for use with complete filtration systems that
provide the proper pre and post filtration that is required.
Limited Warranty:
Farris Enterprises products are warranteed free from defects
in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from date of installation
provided product is installed in accordance with manufacturer’s installation specifications.
This warranty covers replacement cost only and excludes labor costs. Replacement
cost means furnishing, free of charge, a new product which is identical reasonably
equivalent to the warranteed product. Damaged caused by accident, misuse or
abuse excludes the product from this warranty. This limited warranty gives
